a great value miniature tool set for any level of jewellery maker

Beadsmith are one of the best known suppliers of jewellery making tools and equipment, and with good reason! Their quality is superb, and the prices aren't generally bad either.

This dinky tool set is no exception. I already had a few full-sized jewellery tools (a couple of pairs of pliers and a wire cutter), but I wanted to expand my collection and felt that this Beadsmith set would be just the job.

The Color I.D. tools all have different coloured handles, which is great as when you're in a hurry it's normally really easy to pick up the wrong pair of pliers as they do tend to look similar at a glance. Not so with these little beauties!

I should point out that these are DEFINITELY miniature pliers, and not full-sized tools, which might be a problem for some people. I don't find them at all fiddly to use, however, and they're incredibly cute to look at (yeah, I know, that shouldn't matter, but somehow it does!).

My favourite tool in the set is the mini pair of nylon jaw flat nose pliers. These are fantastic because they don't mark or damage metal surfaces, and they're brilliant for straightening wire.

You might not be able to find this set in a shop near you, but it's pretty easy to find on the internet - just go to Google and enter 'Beadsmith products'. You'll probably get them for £9.99 or so (maybe even less), which is not at all bad for a set of 8 good quality (albeit small) tools.

Definitely one to treat yourself to if your interested in jewellery making.
