Advantages: Washable writing pens.

Disadvantages: Can't officially write at the moment!

And here I am again with yet another Christmas present review, I wasn't lying when I said how many presents my kids had received!
This toy that I will review now was a joint effort by myself and my husband, me because it encourages my son's artistic side, (and hopefully stops him from drawing on the living room table), and my husband, well because he was a fan of this character himself as a child and in fairness now too!

The toy I will now review is - "Scooby Doodle Doo!".

The packaging is as most of this "soft" toys normally is. The front of the box is open to reveal the soft toy character in all its glory, whilst any other pieces, (in this case special pens and of course Shaggy!), are vacuum packed and stuck to the back, inside of the box.

On the front and the back of the box, there is the same thing being told to you repeatedly, "I,m washable!", even going as far as showing you how to put the toy into a washing machine for added effect!

I'm sorry I will have to moan again about the ridiculous amount of securing tags used on yet another toy product. While I am not as surprised with this, as it is open fronted, I would still see the play value if it wasn't posed into some unnatural position! (And no I am not being rude!, LOL!).

The toy itself (after it taking me a good ten minutes to remove from the box), is a bog standard soft toy wearing some Bermuda shorts(?).
Included in the set are two washable pens which are blue and red and a UV pen, in the shape of Shaggy.
The premise is easy enough you can write and draw all over the toy then when finished you was it. The UV pen is pretty similar, except you write a secret message onto the toy and in the head of Shaggy there is a built in UV light to reveal the message, this is also washable.

There is an age restriction on this toy, that being not for use under the age of three.

The UV Shaggy takes batteries these being 3 x LR44 batteries, but these are supplied with the light, and in fairness will probably never need replacing!

This toy cost me around the £12.99 range, not a bad price at all I think, though there may be the Woolworths bargain hunters out there that got it for considerably less! (They were actually selling the shelves and tills yesterday at my local branch, the poor staff).

This was purchased from Studio24 - www.studio24.co.uk
But is available at other good toy retailers, though with how they are closing at the mo you may have to search round.

This is a lovely toy, my son (and my daughter) have had a great deal of pleasure playing with it and writing secret messages to each other, though my son is only 3 years old so his messages are secret even to himself!

Thanks for reading x

Summary: Another bloody toy review.
