When I was planning my wedding I spent a lot of time along with my mum going to wedding fayres and researching table decorations, flowers etc, one thing I was certain I wanted was table gems, I chose round ones that were shaped to look like faceted diamonds for all the tables except the top table, the table with the cake on and the table with the guest book and card chest on, for those I wanted something a little bit different so I chose the Heart Shaped Diamante Table Gems.

The gems are sold with very little packaging just a plastic bag with a cardboard label attached to the top, each bag contains approximately 80 gems. They are available in a lot of colours such as pink, red, black, purple, lilac, blue, gold, pewter and clear so something for most colour schemes if you are planning an occasion. I chose clear gems as I think clear table gems sparkle more than coloured ones and I was using clear gems for the other tables.

The heart shaped diamante table gems are basically little hearts made from clear plastic which have been cut to look like heart shaped diamonds with each heart measuring approximately 1 cm.

I used my heart shaped diamantes to scatter on tables at my wedding and once they were in place they looked really lovely, they caught the light and sparkled giving the tables a pretty glamorous look. Of course these don't have to be used just for weddings you could use them for birthday parties, anniversaries or a valentine dinner. I have since bought another packet of these and used them for the dining table when it was my first wedding anniversary, they added a little romantic touch to the table making it look a bit special.

The gems also look pretty in little glass bowls or dishes, they make a pretty table decoration that doesn't cost too much but looks very effective.
