I wanted Jayden to have a toy box in his room not that he really needs on right now but I thought it would be handy storage in there until he's older, our home isn't very big and any extra storage space is always useful. As I mentioned in a previous review I bought a plain pine box to paint and decorate myself as I have an obsession with everything in the home being colour coordinated. After I had painted it I used foam shapes to decorate the toy box, train shapes and numbers. I bought my foam shapes from Hobby craft and I am reviewing the foam numbers.
The foam numbers come sealed in 4 little polythene bags all attached to a cardboard label at the top. The label has Crafty Foam Numbers written on it along with a small picture of foam numbers and some pencils. Each polythene bag is sealed at the top and can be re stuck down once opened. Each little pack has approximately 30 assorted numbers in it ranging from 0-9. The numbers are red, blue, green and yellow and each pack has an assortment of colours in it. The numbers are approximately 3cm's high and all of them, apart from the number 4, are nice and clear and its obvious what they are. The number 4 in my opinion isn't overly clear, an adult would know what it is but I'm not sure little children would.
I used foam glue to stick the numbers onto the toy box, I had previously stuck foam train shapes onto the box and wanted to give the train engines numbers, I followed the instructions and stuck the numbers to the train engines, they gripped really quickly but you do get a few minuets to move the foam numbers around or wipe away any excess glue.
Overall I am very pleased with the foam numbers, there was plenty of each number and all in the four different colours. I like the way they come wrapped in 4 little separate bags making them ideal for more than 1 child to share or even as an addition to a party bag or Christmas stocking. The foam numbers are ideal for all sorts of craft projects for both adults and children alike.
If you are looking for this sort of product I would certainly recommend taking a look at Hobby craft or their website which is www.hobbycraft.co.uk, the pack of numbers only cost me £1.99 making them very reasonable.
With school holidays here now would be a good time to try them especially as they are currently on sale for £1.29.
