Advantages: Reasonable price, easy to use, wipes off with water

Disadvantages: None

Crayola Beginnings is a range Crayola have created for very young children. Some of the products are suitable from as young as 12 months.

My son has the Crayola Beginnings Felt tip pens and loves them so I decided to buy him the Fingerpaints. They are recommended for 2 years plus but I decided with close supervision, I would try my son with them now.

The fingerpaints can be found in supermarkets or online. We bought ours from Amazon and they are currently just £3.90.

They come in a cardboard pack with 3 tubes of paint. The colours are red, blue and yellow.

Each tube has a plastic seal over the tube which you need to remove before you paint. I squeesed a blob of each colour onto a plate and let me son do as he wish!

The paint is a clever invention, it is almost water like, not very thick or dark. This means it is very easy to clean from hands/feet/laminate floor/clothes etc - it will just wipe off with water.

I would suggest most toddlers start with this paint - it is easy for them to use, won't need to be scrubbed off of them and makes a parents life a lot easier!

Summary: Great start to painting

I know, lots of people criticise that they are water like - but thats exactly what you want for your toddler!
