My daughter loves to draw and create pictures and so this multi art easel from Crayola is perfect for her.
The great thing about this easel is that it folds up and at the top has space which doubles as a handle so its very easy for my little girl to carry around and take places with her and of course close up when she is not using it. There are two little plastic clips that fasten in order to shut it into place. The clips are just pieces of plastic and at the place where they open and shut the plastic has turned white (like it's about to break off) so I'm not sure how long these clips will last but they've held up for a year or so now so I don't think its too bad. IF they do break off completely my little girl will not be able to transport this easel as easily but she will still be able to use it so all is not lost.
On on side of the outside of the easel there are four different stencils which you can place a piece of paper over and then do a rubbing with charcoal or crayon. Three of these are just different patterns (swirls, bubbles and lines) but the last stencil is different animals such as a fish, butterfly, cat and dog and my little girl loves to do rubbing pictures of these. They come out really well and look good and I think its a good use of space.
Once you open this easel up it stands up like an easel so you can work at it. The pivot section is quite tough so it never falls down or is loose which is nice. It will stand up either way which is nice as there are different features on different sides. On one side there is a magnetic side which is also a dry erase surface so you can stick things on here but you can also write with the dry erase pens which come with the set. These rub off easily and there is a handy cleaning cloth included too.
Then in the middle there is a flap that you can put up and little hooks at the bottom to allow you to slot a piece of paper into it to do more drawing if you wish and create some masterpieces. I like that this shuts up to the other side because its then handy to store pens and crayons when you are not using them. What I really like about the set is that it came with paper and crayons and like I've said above the dry erase pens so you don't need to purchase anything extra to go along with it.
A perfect drawing set for your budding artists!
