Pip-squeaks for your little pip squeaks
My little girl loves to colour and draw and although its just squiggly lines at the moment I like to encourage her creativity and do this by getting her different pencils, crayons and markers. These pip-squeak markers are made by Crayola but are smaller that regular markers. I like them because I think they look quite cute and I knew my little girl who is just turning 3 would like them too because they are just her size, small and easy to hold and come in a lovely variety of colours.
They are definitely the same good quality Crayola markers that you come to find with the regular sized ones. Each marker is white but then has the same coloured lid that corresponds to the colour inside. We have a pack of 14 that include colours such as pink, green, blue, violet, yellow, orange etc. THe colours are really bright and vibrant and when you colour with them you only need to press very lightly because they are really filled with a lot of coloured ink. I love this about these markers as with some cheaper markers you can get you really need to press down to get even a little bit of colour but these are just flowing with colour and work really well. They sometimes can be a bit too dark in a colouring book as they do come through to the other side if it is quite thin paper so I find it is better to use them on individual sheets and art projects.
The nib is really nice on these markers too. It is quite thick but then comes to a fairly small point at the end. This allows us (well me, because I like to colour in the lines, my daughter just scribbles) to really hug the lines of a drawing and make it look really cute. The ink on these markers is washable which is great because when my daughter draws so gets it on her sleeves and her top (god knows how) but so far they have always washed off. When my one year old boy got ahold of one his sister left out and drew on our wooden table this also washed off with the help of a wet wipe!!
All in all a fun way to be creative!
