==Crayola Safety Scissors==
Jack is really into his arts and crafts which I guess is the same for most children of his age. His favourite thing is actually cutting out things from the old Argos book and sticking onto a blank piece of paper and colouring in a scene to make some sort of Star Wars related page. He is more than happy to get on and do this on his own but I was always concerned with leaving him to get on with it when the scissors he was using were proper metal scissors. With this in mind I decided to purchase some child friendly scissors.
Jack tells me these Crayola Safety Scissors are the ones that they use at school and I was more than happy to pay the price of a little over £3 to get two pairs of the plastic scissors when we were out shopping at the end of last year. He really put them to good use around Christmas time as he made a few Christmas cards for family members which went down a real storm.
The scissors themselves come in a pack of two housed on a backing of cardboard and the front covered in an easy to remove section of plastic. There are two different colours, a red and a blue. Jack wanted to use the red first as this is his favourite colour so I put the second pair away in case the first pair broke but so far this hasn't been the case and the red pair are still going strong.
Jack seems able to cut a variety of different shapes and materials with these scissors and with relative ease. They can cut through several sheets of paper at one time although thick card really needs to be cut one sheet at a time to get a clean cut line.
The scissors are made of a thick and very durable plastic which is coloured yet see through. They are chunky and easy to handle for little hands. They are surprisingly good at cutting through both paper and card yet they are not sharp enough to cut through flesh! Thank goodness. I find them a little difficult to use without getting my chunky thumbs stuck in the holes and you can tell they are really for children to use.
The scissors are really made to a high quality which is what you would expect with a Crayola product and Jack really finds using them easy. I think that they are a top scoring product and I would be more than happy to award a 5 out of 5 star rating and give them an exceptionally high recommendation. They are the best scissors that a child can use.
I do hope that this has been of some help/interest to you
Many thanks for taking the time to read.
Summary: a great childs craft item
