Advantages: Bright, washable, easy for litle hands

Disadvantages: Do need soap to wash off

We ended up with these pens by mistake when I was ordering some Crayola pens from Amazon and we were sent these instead of the 12 pack of supertips which I had ordered, when I cannot Amazon they were great sending me out the correct pens and saying we could keep these pens too.

We were buying opens for our daughter as she was beginning to be bought sets that had felt tip pens in which we had never allowed before but eventually we gave in however after she ruined a second top I told her I was putting them in the bin and buying her some washable ones instead. These pens had I bought them would have been just over £3 which I think is a good price since it means the clothes are safe.

These pens are from the beginnings range and are for children aged 1 year and up, they are supposed to be washable without soap however I would have to dispute this issue as I have to use soap to get the darker colours from my childrens skin. The pens are packaged in a bright yellow box which is the colour that is associated with Crayola, there are 8 pens in the box and each pen has beginnings written up the white barrel in the colour of the pen.

Inside the box you get 8 colours which are red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink and light blue so there is a good range of colours. On taking the top off the nib is quite chunky which gives good wide strips of colour and the colours are nice and bright. The pens wash easily from clothes but like I said I have to use soap to get them fully from the skin which isn't an issue however it isn't what Crayola claim. This is a good set of beginner pens and even better if you get them free like I did.

Summary: A good set of pens
