“ Brand: ELC / Type: Craft Supplies „
My toddler has become very interested in craft which suits me down to the ground as I like crafty things. I had bought her a little Christmas craft set for us to do together in December and I needed some kind of glue as my own pritt stick was at an end. I had ordered a few things off the ELC website and was trying to add a few extras to ensure I got free delivery so I added this ELC pink glue to my basket, which at the time was reduced to 50p.
The fact that this glue was pink was an additional feature in my eyes rather than essential. This is a 40g glue stick that has been designed for children between the ages of 3 -8 years. Now my daughter is almost two and a half and she is able to hold this glue and manipulate enough. She is sensible enough now not to put the glue near her mouth so I am happy with her using it despite her not being within the suggested age range.
This glue is pink and has been designed to go on pink onto the page etc but to dry clear. THis of course usually appeals to children having a different coloured glue which dries differently and my daughter was no exception. She was very excited when she saw the pink colour, however this is where I have a little gripe. It was not that easy to actually see a strong pink colour unless we used a lot of glue. It was a little disappointing, as that was part of the appeal for a child, but it didn't bother her too much. In terms of its stickiness I thought it was reasonably good, and we used this glue on paper, felt and on little sequins and it seemed to stick them all, without any falling off, so it must be strong enough.
We have used this glue quite a few times and it works well as a glue and she does like the pink colour. As I said my only little gripe is that it should come out as a more distinct pink colour without having to use a lot of it especially since it is designed for children. Other than that I am happy with the product, but don't think I would buy it at full price at £2, but 50p was perfect!
