      ELC Paint palette.

The paint Palette was purchased from the Early Learning Centre and is avaliable both to buy on their website and in store. The paint palette cost me £3.00 and is suitable for children aged 2+ years. My nephew loves painting with the ready mixed paint, and I thought this would be really hand to pour some of the paint into rather than on a plastic tray which is what we used to use. The paint palette is made from strong, shiny plastic and is hexagonal shaped. The main tray is white and then it has 6 different coloured pots which sit around the tray. there is also a pot in the middle of the tray which is clear in colour. The plastic pots in the tray can be removed, which makes it easier when washing the palette and pouring the paint back into the bottles if there happens to be any left. Although my nephew has quite afew different coloured paints, they all won't fit into the pots in the palette so he always choose 6 colours that he wants to use. My nephew loves helping to pour some paint into the pots. The middle pot which is clear is recommend for the use of water, when painting in another coloured paint so they don't mix together.

The palette is really sturdy and stands very well on a flat surface without wobbling or looking like it may fall over. The 6 different coloured pots in the palettte make it a bit more interesting and colourful. On each pot they are shaped around the top which is made for resting paint brushes on. This is great as it holds the paint brush in place without it falling out and making a mess. I only ever pour a small amount into the pots and if more is needed I can pour some extra into them later. My nephew managed to get the paint palette quite messy, how-ever as the plastic was slightly shiny and very strong, this washed off the the palette very easily and it looked as good as new again. In terms of value I think £3.00 was very good for the paint palette as the quality of it is really good. There have been one or two occasions where when drying the pots they have been dropped on the floor, how-ever they didn't break or even crack so the pots are really hard wearing. I give this great product 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it.
