My son loves playing with this. I hate cleaning it.

My son received this set for Christmas on his request. He is especially enjoying playing involving owning ice cream shops recently. He is 3.5 years old when he has played with this. The set came with a base that included many, many moulds, which then had fitted onto it an ice-cream dispenser with 3 different choices to push the ice-cream through, sprinkles and cream dispenser. There is also a part where pushing a mould over the base creates something that appears like a cake with candles. It included four pots of play doh - pink, brown, green and a smaller pot labelled 'sprinkles' which was white with different coloured flecks, three spoons, two bowls and two cones.

      - Very easy to assemble.
      - My son can play with this alone, it is easy to operate the levered parts and fill them.
      - As well as the novelty parts of the product, the core skills developed with play doh of cutting, rolling etc can still be used.
      - Huge variety of moulds to create fruits or biscuit decorations.
      - Good for role play.

      - The ice cream bowls and cones that come are far too small to get a reasonable swirl of ice-cream in, let alone the moulded fruits. Supplementing larger bowls from home means they do not fit onto the turntable that automatically turns as ice cream is dispensed to create the swirl.
      - The sprinkles from the sprinkle dispenser go everywhere, especially when used with the tiny bowls included. Tiny bits of play doh are even more likely to get stuck on shoes and trodden into the carpet.
      - It is very difficult to clean. Problematic because it means that soon all colours mix into a grey sludge, and also soon hard bits of play doh get wedged that need removing to get it to operate properly.

Overall an enjoyable novelty add on to play doh, but held back by impractically small bowls and it's difficulty to clean.
