      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Brilliant first bed, easy transition with a cheery design. Would reccomend.

I came across this Thomas & Friends toddler bed in home bargains. I wasn't quite ready for my son to go into a bed at the time but I had to buy it when I noticed that it was around £30 when I had seen the exact same bed in Argos for £99.99.

      Size/design:
      L 145, W 77, H 59cm
The bed is great for a first bed because it is low to the ground as well as having the protective side panels which means you don't need a bed guard. (However if you are like me and wanted to be extra cautious a bed guard does fit on this bed.)
My son was in a cot bed but I wanted to get a new bed for when he went into a bed. Getting the Thomas & Friends toddler bed was great because the mattress from his cot bed fitted perfectly on this bed, saving the money of having to buy a new mattress.

      Appearance:
The bed is a dark red and blue colour with pictures of Thomas, James and Percy on the bed head and Thomas from a side view on the end of the bed. The train faces on the bed head are particularly appealing to children as they have smiling faces.
The colouring and pictures on the bed go brilliantly with other Thomas & Friends furniture. We have a toy box and bookcase in the same colouring and design.

      Age:
This bed says it is suitable for children from 18months to 5years although I'm sure that if needed a child could stay in longer than 5. It is quite sturdy and I often sit on the bed with my son when reading etc. to him (although this probably isn't recommended).

      Price:
I bought this in home bargains for around £30! I know it isn't in there all the time as I have been in since and its hasn't been there but if you can get it at that price it is a bargain. It is also sold in Argos for £99.99 and if I had not seen it in home bargains I would have happily bought the bed for this price.

All in all I feel this is a great first bed for any Thomas fan. Well made, sturdy and lovely to look at!
