      Basic tissue paper

Early Learning Centre often have special offers on their arts and craft products. Whenever they are on sale I stock up to fill up my daughters craft box. She loves anything crafty so it's a perfect opportunity to pick up things we would otherwise buy at full price. One of the latest additions to the box was this tissue paper.

As it's an ELC product, it is only available to purchase from ELC or Mothercare either in store or online. It has a full price of £2, but like I say, you can often find it cheaper. I think I paid £1.60 a couple of months ago.

In the pack you get around twelve different sheets. Each sheet included in the pack is a different colour, with brighter in your face colours like the fuchsia and other paler colours like baby blue so you will have a good choice of different colours to do whatever you like with. As with all tissue paper, it's very thin and rips and tears very easily. I was very surprised after opening the packet that the tissue paper is approximately A3 size, usually with ELC products you pay over the odds so I was expecting A4 size if I'm honest.

This tissue paper is the same as any other tissue paper you will come across, it has the transparent colouring so that if you glue one colour on top of another it will make weird and wonderful colours. We've used this for all sorts of things, from simply tearing it up to see what shapes we can come up with, to more elaborate crafty projects sticking it over cardboard creations to give them a different sort of look. I've also shown my daughter how to make her own tissue paper flowers by cutting it into circles and scrunching it up at the bottom to give a flower effect, she loved this!

I'm very pleased with this tissue paper from Early Learning Centre although it is quite expensive for what it is, the size and variation within the pack is fantastic. It's such a versatile craft product to use and me and my three and a half year old would definitely recommend it.
