Hasbro Play-Doh......

My son has just turned 16 months old and I have recently been taking him to my local leisure centres crèche where the staff informed me that he likes nothing more than playing with Play-Doh. Before this time I had naturally assumed he would try and eat the stuff but they assured me this was not the case.

Upon hearing that Play-Doh was Jack's favourite thing to do at the crèche I popped straight down to my local Woolworth's to pick up a tub or two. I assumed the age range on the Play-Doh was 3+ but surprisingly on the single tubs, it states 2+. This age range is not that far away from Jack's actual age, which reassured me more that he would get lots of fun from playing with it.

Play-Doh is sold in a variety of different colours and buying a single tub will only set you back a mere 79 pence (from Woolworth's). This price I though was very reasonable but I still bought a few different colours for a bit of variety. There are colours ranging from bright pink all the way down to boring brown or even white. I guess if there was something you particularly wanted to mould such as a dog buying white and brown Play-Doh would be perfect.

There are also a wide verity of accessories that are available from the Play-Doh range. Of course these make Play-Doh a more expensive creative toy to get but nonetheless add to the fun that can be brought about by playing with the Doh.

Jack loves to use the stuff now and finds nothing more fun that squeezing it through his fists or rolling it out into worm shapes. The possibilities for play are literally endless with this stuff. I would highly recommend it to all parents as its not just fun for the kids!!! I started off by getting my pastry cutters out to cut out different shapes but since we have been using it more and more invested in a proper Play-Doh tool kit and accessory holder. This contains little shape cutters, scissors, rolling pin and many more interesting tools that you can use to make Play-Doh even more fun.

A five star rating is certainly fitting for this product. It has been around for so many years and it is easy to see why. Hours of fun to be had from something so simple yet opens children's creative part of the brain. Brilliant!!

Summary: a brilliant product
