“ Little Crafty Bugs / Icy Iridescent Pom Poms „
My nephew loves playing with various arts and crafts things and regularly makes pictures for the family using just about anything he can find. As it's coming up to Xmas I wanted to get him some Christmas craft bits to keep him entertained during the weekend and when they break up from school. My nephew loves sticking pom poms on paper and other objects so when I saw these I thought they would be perfect. The pom poms are called Icy Iridescent Pom Poms due to the colour and look of the Pom Poms. There are a total of 85 pom poms in a pack which includes a light blue & white coloured pom poms. The pom poms also have iridescent strands in them as well so the light catches them. The Pom Poms come in 3 separate bags to separate the 3 different sizes of the Pom Poms. There are some big, medium and small sized pom poms which make them perfect for a range of different things. The pom poms can be stuck to paper using PVA glue but it will take a while for them to stick to the paper and this normally needs to be left overnight to guarantee the pom poms from not falling off. Due to the iridescent strands in the pom poms it does make them harder to stick to things unlike normal pom poms without the iridescent strands.
We used the pom poms mainly to put inside some baubles to give them a lovely sparkly and Christmassy feel. I paid £1.67 for the Pom Poms which I thought was really good value. I purchased them from a craft website which you can find by typing in 'Little Crafty Bugs' into Google. My nephew loves the colour of these pom poms and he loves that the iridescent strands catch the light which makes them sparkle. As well as using them to fill your own baubles they can also be used with glue to stick to various items such as paper and decorating your own gift boxes/bags for the festive season, I do how-ever recommend a strong glue such as PVA and for it to be left over-night to ensure they are stuck on properly. Although the colours of the pom poms are very nice they wouldn't look the same without the iridescent strands in them which makes them look a bit more Christmassy. The pom poms looked beautiful in a clear plastic bauble on a Xmas tree as the lights catches them which make them sparkle and shine. For obvious reasons these are not suitable for use by small children as they could be swallowed and cause choking. These are a great item when doing arts and crafts with your children and make a nice change from red and green pom poms.
