Picture the scene: Saturday in IKEA, red mist descending, queues into the next Swiss canton, lots of people getting in the way. My patience is down to its last desperate hold on sanity before I embark on some sort of crazed meltdown. We turn into the children’s department to catch our breath and to let Olivia out of the trolley for a bit of a run around. She heads straight for the art department and this easel and spends ten minutes happily (and quietly) creating some of her unique art. Impressed with the quietness of our offspring we sling one into the trolley, take a deep breath and head for the tills. How easy was it to set up? Remove from ... Read the complete review

I was looking for some new lounge furniture a few months ago, and happened upon the Ikea website. Along with some of the furniture I wanted to look at I spotted this easel for the bargain price of £12.99. I immediately thought it wouldn't stand up to much at that price and my other half dismissed it straight away. We were thinking of getting our daughter an easel for her to do drawing on, but weren't sure which one to get. As we were paying a visit to Ikea anyway, we passed a stack of these easels in the warehouse on the way to the tills. I went to have a look and was suitable surprised at how sturdy they were looking on the floor. I called my other half over and he ... Read the complete review

I have to admit that since the one opened close to us we frequently go there just so the kids can get meatballs. My friends and I tend to go on a Friday morning for coffee armed with our ikea family loyalty card so that we can get a free coffee or tea. Anyway it must be nearly 3 years ago that we had gone and seen the chalk board easel and were so impressed that we bought it. We hadnt intended to buy anything fo the children but you know what it is like. The easel its self is a fantastic idea. It is a white board on 1 side and a blackboard on the other. It has a wooden frame which is now multi coloured on ours due to the number of times it has ... Read the complete review

Every time we go to Ikea my son would run to children's area and start scribbling on the blackboard/whiteboard. That's when we decided we would buy the Ikea Mala Easel. Although it says it is for 3+ aged children, my son who was 2 then liked to use it. There are no small parts in it except the chalk/pens that can be left on it. But I usually make sure that they are kept away unless I am with him. Its price is £14.99. But just when we wanted to buy it last year Ikea (Cardiff) had a huge sale and grabbed this for a great bargain of £7.99. Very impressed with the price and generally with the Ikea products we brought this home. It is sold folded and wrapped in a ... Read the complete review

My son had wanted an easel for ages so whilst shopping around looking at all of the different ones on the market we came across this one. It was in the childrens department at our local ikea. Made from solid wood that could be used to recycle I thought I was a good buy. We paid £13.99 for it a fraction of the cost of the others we had seen. The easel itself looks like any other just being its made of wood instead of bright plastic like the others I have seen. The easel itself it quite light weight and stores flat for easy storage. When you open the easel it opens up into an A-line frame with a wooden tray in the middle which you can put your chalks, pens ... Read the complete review
