==Purchase== My Mam tends to spoil her Granddaughters quite a lot and she is really good at finding toys that they will really enjoy, my eldest daughter is 5 years old and she loves anything to do with drawing and colouring and so it was a good bet that this book was going to be a hit. The book came from the Amazon website earlier this year and I have never actually seen this book being sold in a physical shop, the book cost my Mam £4.99 with the delivery. ==The Packaging== The book is A4 size and is made of thick cardboard so that it is strong enough for stencils, the book comes with 10 sheets of A4 white paper and has 4 little pencils with it. The whole set came packaged in shrink wrap style wrapping so was very easy to open but then of course once the wrapping is taken off the pencils are loose and so is the paper although you can slide the paper inside the book to keep it flat. The pencils that come with the book are half sized pencils and they sit under a plastic cover, you get blue, yellow, green and red which I thought was a little poor considering the pigs are pink in colour. The pencils are good qaulity and not the type that snap easily inside and are then useless, we used the pencils along with other colours that my daughter already had and found that they lasted ages between sharpenings. ==The Book== The front page of the book has a cut out of Peppa pig with a picture of Peppa pig sat inside the cut out and of course it displays the Peppa pig logo, it states on the front that you get 14 different stencils and easy tips to improve your drawing technique. When you turn the front cover there is another sheet of cardboard which opens out the opposite way, this is the sheet that you use to sit behind your paper whilst you use the stencil so that the pencils don't push through the paper. You get a set of instructions inside the book which are very simple to follow and set out one by one so that are easy to children to digest step by step the only issue is they are written on the back of the flap that your child needs to put behind the paper and considering step one is fold this flap behind the stencil you want to draw it means they cannot follow the instructions step by step as they then wouldn't be able to read them. In the book you get 14 stencils which are Peppa Pig, George Pig, Mummy Pig, Daddy Pig, Peppa Pig lying down, George Pig jumping in muddy puddles, Daddy Pig jumping in muddy puddles, The Pig families car and then some little stencils of Dinosaur, a rubber duck, a toy bus, Teddy and a horn. The pages of the book are drawn as scenes from the book and the picture that the stencil is for is next to the stencil as a drawing and in full colour so your child can easily see what the picture should look like when they have finished it. The tips that are included are written on each page and they correspond to the picture on the page and the stencil that is available on the page for example, on the page with George Pig there is a football drawn on the page and the tip is "Do you think George Pig is playing with the ball? Once you have traced George use your pens or pencils to create a fun background" ==Opinions== The book is pretty easy to use and my daughter can manage it easily which is great as otherwise I end up getting the task of drawing the pictures which is what happened when she first got the book and wasn't quite so sure how to get the paper to stay still whilst she used the stencil. The book is of great quality and the stencils are all still useable even after a few months of use which is great as it means the book provides great value. I think the tips are a little poor really as it states on the front that the tips will help improve drawing technique but I don't see how telling your child to put a pattern on Peppa Pigs dress does this. My daughter will happily play for ages with the book and then after she has drawn the pictures with the stencils she enjoys colouring them in, she likes to use a couple of different stencils on the same bit of paper and make a scene out of them which is great as I think it shows imagination and creativity. I actually used this book too using the stencils to get the outline for Peppa pig made out of fondant icing for on top of my daughter birthday cake so it has more than just one use and I was very proud of my Peppa Pig although of course I didn't admit I have used a stencil. I would recommend this book, it is great value and easy to use and it helps keep my daughter amused when it's horrible weather and she can't play outside or if I am trying to get through the housework I can set her off with it and she will happily leave me to it.
