The big shot is one of the well known manual die cutting machines on the market, it uses what are called dies available in various shapes, sizes and alphabets which can be used in card making, crafting and scrapbooking to name a few.

The Big Shot Machine measures approximately 14 1/4" x 8 1/2" x 6 1/2" it is quite heavy for its size about 7lb but this is to help it not move whilst cutting, it comes with a set of standard cutting mats and a multi purpose platform. Prices start from around £50 but it can come as part of a package with dies.

It can cut paper, card and some materials, it also embosses, you can also get extra long cutting pads that will let you make bigger things using the sizzix XL dies, these have boxes, cards in their designs, the big shot is also able to use other makes of die using the instructions printed on the platforms.
