SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS STICKER PARADISE
I bought this for my son this year to go in his mini sack, as I wanted to fill it with various arts and crafts bits as he his happy to sit for hours, coloring, painting and making things.
This comes in an a4 size pack, which has spongebob on the front, you can also see the contents of the pack, Inside you have a small sticker book, and 6 sheets of stickers, these contain the various characters you see on spongebob and is available from poundland.
The also have a dora the explorer set, which my daughter has, and also contains the same, only with dora characters.
I myself am not really very pleased with the set, but feel for just a pound, that I can't really complain much.
You get approx 50 stickers in the set, with spongebob characters but I found that most of the stickers in this set seemed to be of spongebob himself, although each sticker was different.
The sticker book is quite small and very thin and also the stickers are not reusable, which may have been a little better if they were.
My son does like playing with this though and has made scenes on each page and still has a few stickers left over.
A week or so before the birth of my youngest child I decided I would need some things to keep my 2 year old son occupied whilst I was in hospital. The plan was for him to be looked after by my mother in and around the hospital grounds/ restaurant while I gave birth. That way both my mum and my son would get to meet my daughter as soon as she was born. In order for our plan to work we would need to be well prepared with a supply of snacks and drinks for him, but also a supply of things to keep him entertained. I went to my local Poundland with the idea of picking up some coloring books and crayons for him and while I was there spotted this Spongebob sticker set.
The set comes in an A4 sized 'box' and on the box it says it contains 5 sheets of stickers and a sticker pad. It looked fab value for a pound, and in fairness it was ok value, but when you open the box it's a bit of a disappointing, the sticker book is just a flimsy notepad and the sticker sheets are very small, in all honesty they could just have been on one sheet and the fact that they are on five sheets seems like something they did to make it sound better on the box.
The stickers themselves are nice, there are lots of different ones (you get around 50 in total) they feature the two main characters from the Spongebob Squarepants cartoon- Spongebob and Patrick. For the price I paid I was pretty happy with the variety of stickers as there were no or very few repetitions which is not normally the case for cheap sticker sets.
When placed on the sticker pad the stickers are not re-usable, but if you were to stick them on a piece of laminated cardboard you could peel them off and use them a couple of times which is something my son likes to do. He also likes to stick them to himself, and they do seem to stick to him quite well although god knows if that's a good or a bad thing. What is a bad thing is that when they were stuck to my wooden floor they were very hard to remove in one piece as they are very thin, but thankfully left none of the sticky residue you sometimes get.
Besides sticking them to the sticker pad I have also found they have come in handy for toilet training. When my son uses the toilet we reward him with a sticker on his chart. He uses the toilet consistently now because he likes to get the stickers and I think character stickers are brilliant for this purpose.
To sum up, I like them, my son likes them and for a pound a really can't grumble, I just don't appreciate the deceptive nature of the packaging. I'd pay a pound for the amount you actually get so there really is no need to make it look like you get more than you do
When planning a recent holiday I needed to find lots of different things to keep my daughter entertained as on our travelling days we spent the majority of the day in either a car, coach or plane. She had her own little bag for bits and pieces to keep her occupied. One of the things I put in her bag for the return journey was this Spongebob Squarepants sticker set.
I purchased the sticker set from my local Poundland so it only cost me a quid. There were other character sets available to buy, I also bought the Dora the Explorer version and I can remember seeing a Toy Story version for boys too.
The sticker set comes inside an A4 size cardboard box. The box has a cut out window on the front so you can see what is inside. I must say I was a little disappointed when I initially opened the box as I was expecting the sticker sheets to be A4 size but they were more like A5 or even A6. Both the sticker sheets and the sticker book were no more than 7cm x 15cm. This set contains a Spongebob sticker book and six sheet of stickers.
The six sticker sheets are full of Spongebob Squarepants related stickers, with the majority of stickers featuring a character such as Patrick, Gary or Sandy. This is quite surprising as we bought the Dora pack too and that set didn't feature as many character stickers. Another different thing about this set compared to the Dora set was that this one contained six sheets where Dora only contained five. I think this may be because the stickers seem bigger in the Spongebob set, I would imagine there is around the same amount of stickers in total.
The sticker book is simply a book of plain paper to put the stickers onto. The front and back covers are made from a flimsy, almost card like material with a shiny coating on them. On the front cover there is a picture of Spongebob and his good friend Patrick.
My daughter found it easy to take each sticker off of the sheet and could peel them off without any of the edging of the stickers coming off from the sheet too. I saved this sticker set at the start of the holiday as I wanted to keep most of the sticker sheets until the journey home to keep my two year old daughter occupied. She found them in my suitcase one evening and it led to stickers being placed all around the hotel room. When it came to departure day I did go around and peel the stickers back off and most of them came off without leaving much residue.
I'd definitely recommend this Spongebob Squarepants sticker paradise set, there are a good amount of stickers and feature one of my daughters favourite characters. The packaging is a little misleading when it doesn't really have to be as the contents are great despite being smaller than expected. Well worth the quid paid.
