      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Very pretty and veratile- the perfect finishing touch but expensive for what it is.

Tim Holtz Tissue tape is a sheer adhesive tape with a stamped effect design. It can be used to adhere items to your cards and scrapbook pages as well as used for borders and edges. It can be inked to change the colour so that it matches your projects.

It is very easy to use you simply cut or tear off the required amount and use on your projects. Bear in mind that if used to adhere items to your creations they must be fairly light as it is not a heavy duty adhesive for example to add card or paper matting and layering. It is also re-positional- enabling you even totally remove if necessary. You can either ink it before or after adding to your project. I like to use my Tim Holtz Distress inks or Adirondack Alcohol inks to add colour, although you could use any coloured ink.

It co-ordinates beautifully with the other embellishments and stamps within the Tim Holtz range. You can also buy a tissue tape dispenser, although I have not as I find it very easy to use without.

The tape itself is matt and has beautiful stamped effect designs from butterflies, script, music etc. Tim Holtz Tissue tape comes in packs each containing 2 rolls of different with different designs which are each 16yds long. It is widely available in craft shops and online and costs around £9.

I think it looks stunning on distressed or shabby chic projects, and works very well on scrapbook pages, cards and altered art projects.

It is extremely versatile and useful, however the major downside for me is the cost, as I do think it is quite expensive for what it is and how much you get and tend to use it more sparingly than I would otherwise. It could easily be used by children but I don't think I will be sharing mine- as it is just too expensive to be used anything other than carefully.
