Advantages: No paints, just water, dries off

Disadvantages: Pricy

I had heard about the Aquadraw concept but wasn't quite sure what it was. I looked into it and found Aquadraw Rainbow is a large mat which children can draw on using water - the colours come through the sheet when water is applied so they can draw to their hearts content with no mess - just water!

The Rainbow aquadraw means that the colour that comes through varies, it can be all sorts of colours. The drawing disappears when it dries and you can then draw over it all again.

With the mat you get 2 pens (which you fill with water), 2 stampers and a thick brush you can dip. You could use anything though - you could wet your childs hand and put it down on the mat.

My son is 16 months and loves Aquadraw. He does like to suck the water from the pens and brush but he also loves running then pen over the mat and seeing what he can create. Its brilliant how mess free it is, even if I leave a small pot of water for him and it gets knocked, its nothing compared to the mess paints cause!

I would highly recommend Aquadraw Rainbow. Generally its around £25 which does seem a lot but if your child likes being creative it is well worth the money. I will be investing in the travel aquadraw too!

Summary: Been great for us

A friend's version of this got quite screwed up after a while and performed less well. I guess you really need to take care!
