“ Brand: Ultraloc / Type: Craft Supplies „
The price is reasonable and works effeciently every single time for me. Recently, I used it on my shoe :-P and it worked again. It is stronger than the famous brand names. The cap is meant to have a unique anti clogging system that should keep it fresh time after time. Excellent Ultraloc
Ultraloc is a great superglue, easy to follow instructions and extremely easy to operate. It has worked every time without fail after storage, unlike some other brands like Bostik.
I am delighted with this stuff! The price is also extremely reasonable. I have tried cheap, watery, super glues sold in pound shops and these are useful for some jobs, but not for my requirements. Ultraloc super glue is just amazing. It is stronger than the famous brand names; I ordered Ultraloc because I needed a product that would fix plastic and metal together firmly, without the need for clamping. This glue worked perfectly as it dries extremely fast. I was concerned at first about using super glue for my needs, as other glues I've used in the past tend to be very brittle and will break easily if the item is knocked at all, but this glue seems to hold up a lot better. I've had no issues with the glue breaking even though the items I glued have been knocked around a bit. I'm very happy with Ultraloc.
Having tried out other superglue and always been fed up that after a short time or a knock the bond fails...but Ultraloc is excellent. Once dry the bond is excellent - and you don't need to put loads on. Easy to clean up any excess. Fantastic! Thank you Multibrands!
I've bought this glue in the past from my local Home Bargains store as they sell it for the bargain price of 49p a tube, which cannot be beaten. According to there website, this is the strongest superglue around.
I have used this mainly to stick metal miniature figures together, which as you would expect requires precision and careful drip rate control as too much glue in the wrong place can ruin a figure instantly. The glue comes in a simple metal tube with a plastic nozzle and plastic cap. The cap is meant to have a unique anti clogging system that should keep it fresh time after time. I have found that for the first few uses the glue and cap stay in great condition however when a bit of glue gets spilt on the nozzle then this will glue the cap and nozzle together very quickly if not cleaned up.
The nozzle has a small opening at the top, roughly three quarters of a millimetre in diameter. This makes application in the desired area relatively accurate. The problem I found was controlling how much glue goes where you want it as squeezing the metal tube can sometimes produce a lot or a tiny amount of glue. Generally it is okay, but there has been the occasion where a lot of glue has spurted out in one go and covered me in the glue. Trying to un-stick your fingers from each other isn't the most pleasant thing to be doing!
The "anti clogging" system that is apparently in the cap does seem to work well as it rarely clogs up, unless some dust is in the hole. This can be easily cleaned out with a toothpick though.
Overall, the sticking ability of the glue seems very good. When used with metal on metal, the hold of the glue is very good and it takes some force to separate the two parts. I can assume that this binding power would be transferred to other applications.
To conclude, for the low price of 49p a tube, this glue is exceptional value to for money. A tube, depending on the regularity of use can last ages and doesn't seem to go "off" or dry out. Therefore due to the price and its great sticking power, I am going to give this glue a 4/5. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs it!
It was about a month ago when my daughter was due to leave for school that she pointed out that the inner sole was coming out of her shoe and it was extremely uncomfortable. The shoes weren't expensive and I'd usually get her a pair quite often. She prefered lots of cheaper pairs rather than just a couple of dearer pairs, through her school year.
As she was going on day out with a fair bit of walking involved I offered a quick fix. I'd glue them. Looking in the cupboard I was soon alerted to the fact that we had no super glue left. I therefore suggested I gave her a lift, via Tesco's, and I'd sort it out on the way. Anyway we popped into the store and the only glue was ultraloc. To be honest I can't remember the exact price but I've since seen it in maplins for £1.49.
Anyway as soon as we got out of the shop I took her shoe off and squirted the glue around the edges. Within minutes my daughter said. 'Wow that really has worked'. I was a bit sceptical, as I've seen products advertised before that promise the earth and yet don't work. After School I asked her how her shoe was and she was really pleased.
The next time I used this glue was a moment I'll never forget. I found a used stamp in the house that hadn't been franked. I can't remember if it had been sent off a stamped addressed envelope, if it had been put on by mistake or if simply it had gone through the mailing system, unnoticed. Anyway I needed a stamp so I carefully peeled off the stamp from the backing paper and then got the glue from the cupboard. I put a bit on the stamp and it must have gone over the edges a bit. As I held the stamp firmly with my thumb to attach it to the envelope I soon realised my thumb had become attached. I don't mean a little bit either. It was firmly stuck. I walked into the living room and showed my daughter. As I tried to remove my thumb with my other fingers, they became stuck too. I rinsed my fingers under hot water with lots of fairy liquid and it wouldn't budge. In the end I had to use a knife, and it actually took skin off my hands. This is really strong stuff!! Only afterwards did I read on the tube that it bonds eyes and skin in seconds. It does!!!
It says on the website that it has been proved to be the strongest in independent tests and I won't argue with that. It also says it is 'fitted with a unique cap which retains the glue for a clean mess free storage, this also prevents the nozzle from clogging so Ultraloc is fresh every time you use it'.
It can be used on wood, plastics, metal, ceramics, glass, rubber, leather, electronic boards and MUCH MORE!
I highly recommend this product but with extreme caution. It appears to glue pretty well anything. I wouldalso advise against the children using it...................and 39 year old men!!!
Ideal to use on: wood, plastics, metal, ceramics, glass, rubber, leather, electronic boards and more.
