I first heard about Coke Auction during the Summer. The idea is that you collect special ring-pulls from cans of Coca-Cola, which can then be exchanged for special trading credits on the cokeauction.co.uk website. Pretty much like any other auction website, and just to prove the point, QXL are powering the whole system.

On the Coke Auction website you can bid for a variety of things, from books to games, from stereos to CDs. So it all sounds too good to be true? Well yes if you live in Northern Ireland. It dosen't make it clear in their vast promotional advertising, but the Coke Auction is "only available to UK" - well it may surprise Coca-Cola to learn that N.Ireland is indeed a part of the UK too!

And to top it all off, even though the promotion isn't available to NI residents, they STILL ship supplies of Coke to N.Ireland bearing the Coke Auction labels!! Talk about rubbing it in. Personally, I think SwapitShop.co.uk is pretty similar to this, and it IS available in all areas of the UK (see my opinion on it for more info).
