Advantages: Some real hidden gems if you know what you're looking for

Disadvantages: Not always the cheapest deals, as people often assume

To be honest, ebay USED to be the place to go to find a hidden gem, but it's getting harder and harder the more popular it gets. This of course, has it's pro's and cons.

There are two types of people who use ebay, Buyers and sellers/

Buyers: You really need to look hard nowdays for a bargain, look for possible alternatives such as common spelling mistakes and shortened words. for exmaple, if I was looking for a set of alloys for my 106, I might type "(Peugeot Wheels, 106 Wheels, 106 Alloys, 106 wheels, Puegeot Wheels, Peugot wheels) -(saxo).

This will bring back all the results within the brackets, and avoid anything with the '-()'.

Sellers: I've made a bit of money out of ebay, purely because people now rely on it as being the cheapest, when it's clearly not. Argos sell thr DC15 at £170, ebay sells this for £300, yet people still pay £300! If you shopped around you'd save a fortune.

Remember, shop around first and be careful of fradulent or new sellers, if it's too good to be true, it probably is. Pay by paypal to be safe, always check feedback first.

Summary: Great overall but don't assume its the cheapest
