Advantages: Easy to use, can find some real bargains, can make you good money too.

Disadvantages: Most items will sell quite cheap as that's the whole point of the site

Ebay, what a wonderful website. I'm a complete ebay addict, I find myself shopping on there almost daily and have found some amazing bargains throughout the years. I've also recently started to sell clothing on there and my first attempt (where I listed around 13 items) netted me a nice sum of £70, which isn't shabby considering these were items of clothing I had no use for and would probably have just stored away for years, at least now someone else can enjoy those items and at a bargain price too!.

Some of my most favourite purchases from ebay include a Versace top for £10, a D&G dress for £5 and a pair of Manolo Blahniks for £20... these are high end designer items that I managed to get for a snippet of their original price. Needless to say, I was very pleased!.

Ebay is so simple and easy to use, if you're a buyer you can simply type in what it is you are looking for and all the listings will appear. There are some 'buy it now' items, where you can dodge the bidding wars (although to be honest, that's part of the fun, when you really want an item the adrenaline pumping through your body as you bid like crazy for it is all very exciting... it's much like a healthier form of gambling, except you're actually bidding for something you know you'll probably get). Here's a quick tip for you if you do decide to go down the bidding route - it's probably best if you leave it to the last minute to place a bid, therefore you won't be bulking the price up even more and you'll be more likely to get the item cheaper. If you are the successful bidder you'll be notified via email and will then have to pay for that item through the agreed method (paypal, cheque, etc...) and the seller will send your item out to you ASAP. Once you recieve the item, remember to leave feedback, which can be done easily on the "my ebay" section of the site.

All in all I'd definately reccomend ebay.co.uk to all shopaholics and thrifty money savers alike. There's a whole host of gems to be found on the website and as the saying goes "Someones trash is someone elses treasure".
