Advantages: A quick way to get rid of unwanted goods and grab a bargain.

Disadvantages: High Fees, Full of time wasters.

eBay is the site to go too when your strapped for cash and need to sell anything that isn't nailed down to the floor in your house or when your looking for a bargain or unique item.

I have been a member on eBay for over 5 years now and have sold and purchased over 300 items in this time.

It has helped me get rid of unwanted gifts, clothes, games and games consoles and DVDS in this time and has also helped me buy all of these things plus more.

The site has gone downhill over the last six months or so, they have increased the fees dramatically for sellers and sellers are now also unable to post negative feedback against non-paying buyers.

It also seems to have a lot more trolls on it, i have had occasions of items being bid more than they are worth and then having the hassle of having to put a claim in for my fees back and also the bother of relisting the item several times over the last few months, my banned list is getting longer all the time.

I have also just had an incident of someone trying to tell me an item doesn't work 2 months after purchasing it and now expecting a refund, which is not going to happen!

The problem is eBay is the main player in the world of auction sites and they are now abusing that power. There is other sites out there but none as popular so your items may not sell.

I only sell now on cheap listing days to try and save some cash on fees.

Its still a good site for buyers but sellers look elsewhere!
