EBay is one of the biggest websites in the world and has become a household name in recent years. With the internet becoming bigger and bigger every year with more and more users the creators of EBay made a user friendly and clever site which even your granny has heard of!!
EBay is the world's biggest online auction site on which anyone can buy and sell almost anything. From DVD's to clothes, EBay has everything you could ever need!
I have been a user of this site for over a year and have a feedback of over 100. This is mainly due to my selling but I my first few transactions were as a customer.
The Feedback aspect of EBay is probably the most ingenious function the creators installed. This allows everyone to see all the transactions that a seller or buyer has made and how the other person felt about the transaction. It's a great tool also for buyers who are hesitant about buying online. It's difficult to maintain a 100% feedback score as a seller but it is important as if your feedback drops so will your sales.
In recent months there has been a lot of chit chat regarding the fees of EBay and how much they have increased since EBay first started. However I don't think they are ridiculous as your items are given so much exposure. For my online business I treat it as more of a gateway to my own small online store and treat the fees as advertising costs. I believe it is important as an online retailer to gain maximum exposure and EBay have billboards in major cities all over the world, it's difficult to be able to afford that kind of exposure!!
All in all EBay is a great place for online beginners and experts alike. A great place which offers so much for so many people. A fantastic site which I can't see going down anytime soon!!
