I joined ebay a few years ago now, the sign up process is pritty easy to do you just need your basic details like name and adress, date of birth etc, it stores your adress for delivery which is great as you dont need to input it every time you buy an item from there.

Ebay sell both new and second hand items, there is a choice with a lot of items of bidding on them where the highest bidder wins the item or a buy it now price.

All the items are listed under heading categories which i find are great to use if you are looking for something but not specific items like before xmas i was browsing for toys but not looking for a particular toy so i used the toy category to browse from the header tabs.

The search engine is great if you are looking for something in particular like a few weeks back when i neded a new heater element for my washer dryer, it allowed me to search for just the part i wanted so i could find it easily.

Once you click onto an item for sale on ebay you have a lot of details about the item and can email the seller for any more you may need, you have a buy or bid option and a watch option which allows you to add the item to your watched list in your ebay account so you can find it easily in the future to see how the auction is going.

You can get some great bargains from ebay and most sellers accept pay pal so is very secure, be wary of the postage charges though as this can bump the price up quite a lot and also check prices elsewear as well, before xmas i saw a lot of dora items on ebay for £2.99 plus postage that were being sold in pound land so were not such a bargain.

You can also sell on ebay unwanted things you have, i have only ever done this once, you get charged a selling fee so bear this in mind.

Summary: a good auction site
