Advantages: May find a bargain

Disadvantages: You may end up buying a load of items you never wanted!

'Have you checked on ebay?'

This is a phrase that's used quite often amongst my little group of friends. If there's anything we want to purchase the first place we'd go is to ebay. Well, that was until I went to Ikea and saw so my of the items I'd bought on ebay for less then half of the price! And to top it, the items were brand new!

So did I learn my lesson? Not really...

Yes I'm a little more careful with my choice of items to purchase from this site, and I do check other places out but it hasn't stopped me from bidding altogether.

I think I'm an addict, I just love to see a few seconds left on a 10p item and nobody's bid on it yet...I'll bang out my bid...just winning by my chin...then finding out the postage is £10!!! A'h well- At least I got it on ebay...

For some strange reason my husband has banned me from ebay- but after many arguments I only bid in the clothing catagory now- I just bid on everything that starts with the words 'bundle or mixed items' And most of the time I do manage to get a bargain!

*Conclusion*
Be careful what you purchase from ebay- get a second opinion- and don't fall into the trap of bidding at the last second unless you have read all descriptions thoroughly first.

Summary: Happy Bidding...

I too tend to bid last minute then realise it's £10 postage fee & by then it's too late to back out! :)

I find the Community Boards very useful for getting advice and keeping up to date with any problems.

They do need to sort the fraud though.
