ebay is now a well established online market place which has been growing since its launch in 1997. I rmember when i was at school and my dad used to pick out all his unwanted junk and sell it on ebay, he used to make atleast a tenner on each item which is not so bad!. It has now become a market place for selling and buying all kinds of items ranging from clothes to electronics. Ebay now has the latest tools and features for the user to use when buying and selling on its website. I reccomend new members to familiarise yourself with the website, read up on the ebay forums before placing a bid/buying/selling an item.

Buying. Its simple enough to buy an item. You search for the item you want using ebays search bar and what you get is a comprehensive list of all the results. The prices ranges from high to low and there is an option of buying the item immediatley (buy it now). When you have clicked on the item you are interested in you can either place a bid if the listing is in an auction format or you can buy the item right away if it is in a buy it now format listing. You should have a paypal account to make a payment which you would have to sign up for when you register with ebay.
What makes me always shop on ebay is the prices, you would expect to buy a top much much cheaper on ebay than going to the high street.

Selling. Selling is pretty simpe really and is a easy way of getting rid of unwanted clothes/gifts etc. I have sold many many many items on the site and have made some extra money! and it really is fun. Making your first sale makes you really happy, it made me smile all day knowing i sold an item i no longer needed for money rather that just throwing it away!. But before you sell an item, you need to sign up for a seller account which then ebay takes you threw different stages for you to complete like linking your ebay account with paypal, and paying your seller fees with your credit card or with paypal.

Seller fees. I remember a few years ago when seller fees used to be no where near as it is now. The fees has really gone up and it's because of the reputation ebay has earned. Ebay is now known all across the world with millions of potential buyers so its fair to say why ebay has put up its seller fees.

Overall. I think it is a great market place, for buying & selling and i reccomend to all those who have not yet signed up and/or having doubts about joining. Its fun and its easy join the bidding game!.
