Firstly i just want to say that no matter how much i moan in this review i do still love ebay and it is a good way to earn some extra cash if you dont want to brave the weather at a carboot at 6 in the morning!

Where shall i start. .. They have changed the layout of the site with different options for layout and its a pain in the bum. Everytime i search for an item it diplays the reults in order of best match.. im sorry but who cares how well it matched if it ended 10 minuites ago, you need to opt every single time for the time ending soonest option, and it gets a bit tedious.

I usually buy more than i sell but have just had a clearout so have had the pleasure of been beaten with both sides of the stick!You have to write so much on your auction now because if not you will just end up getting scammed. I make sure i put to contact me first if they are out of the uk for shipping details and they dont they just bid away and then i inform them that it blah blah postage as i wont have any items sent to certain places without being fully tracked and then they dont pay! Sellers can no longer leaver buyer negative feedback now either ???? why not, if they dont pay they arnt a good buyer.. are they?
It seems thats as ebay has risen it has started to loose sight of what it was intended for, to sell unwanted goods, now its just a market place for traders and shops, no bargin goods. I mean i know they have the right to be there too im not aiming it at tarders its ebay sending you to shop search results all of the time instead of auctions.

A new ruling has just been introduced in respect of selling books, im not that familiar with it as i dont sell but books but basically say if your item cost weighed 1kg and would actually cost £5 to post, ebay will only let you charge £2 ???? The defence for this is that customers dont like to see high postage charges so if you just add the extra postage cost onto your start price you will attract more bidders. Now this propbably is true but the point they are missing is that ebay are gainin the extra money for my auction been hiked up with postage, so they get exta fees from me...bargin.

Theres lots more i could rant on about but im sure alot of you are in the same boat as me and still love it! just be carefull of scammers and fake emails as alot of people do get caught out with them
