Ebay the original online auction site. When I first started using ebay a few years ago it was fantastic, not because I could find items that weren't available in shops (you can) or items that weren't available in the UK (again this is possible) but simply for the fact it is not hard at all to find yourself a bargain and save a fair bit of money!

I tend to buy more than I sell on ebay but unfortunately things have taken a turn for the worse in regard to selling. Ebay now charge you a 10% final value fee which is rather substantial! Sometimes it might make it not worth your while to bother using ebay.

With regard to safety always use paypal to pay for goods but even that has its downfalls. I have only been scammed once on ebay and that was for an event ticket to the value of £80. Luckily I managed to get a full refund from the seller. All's well that ends well I suppose!
