Advantages: when cash is low, sell your unwanted stuff for money

Disadvantages: sometmes people dont pay!

i have been using ebay for around 2 years now and on avarage i have made around £1000.

I sell everything and anything i can, and whatever does not sell i hand it into a charity shop. I have two children so thy grow out of their clothes and toys quite quickly. I sell the old stuff on ebay (if it is in good condition) and then make some money back to get new things.

I would recommend using ebay to make a few extra pounds towards christmas, birthdays or even holidays. Every little helps. I feel that once you know how to sell, then it is really straight forward.

I start all my listings at 99p. I only charge postage and if the bids go passed 99p then it is great. especially with the current credit crunch, i myself look on ebay now before i look on any other sites to see if i can get anything just that little bit cheaper.

I honestly think you could sell anything on ebay and if you are struggling a little financially, i would suggest clearning out and putting it on ebay. Every little helps.

The only disadvantage i have experienced with ebay is that when i was selling an old phone, i had it on for 10 days. Once that was finished, it ended at around £70. The person who had bought it then decided not to pay and it was a lot of hassle for me to get my Final Value Fee back. Number one rule for ebay, DO NOT SEND UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED. Too many chancers out there.
