~~My experience using the website~~
I hadn't really used ebay much until afew years ago when I got my laptop but now that I have I am a huge fan. I use it to buy and sell it has everything from cars to hair spray. I have recently started selling on it, it has been a great experience in how straight forward it is and with how popular the website is you can have a real bidding war over your items which is brilliant to watch the price your getting go up.
A standard seller listing can be as cheap as £1.38 to put on but it can be more expensive if you add different fonts and more than one image. I do wait until they have no insertion fees on some weekends and then I put my items up for sale because the insertion fee soon adds up if you sell alot of things regularly. When you sell an item you give 10% of the sale price (if bid ended under £100) and abit bigger percentage as the money goes to larger amounts.
The website is bright and stylish with an easy to navigate layout. It sells a whole range of products so you can pretty much do all your shopping on the same website. It only takes afew minutes to register your details then your away. The main search bar is located on the left at the top of the web page allowing easy search of the many categories.
When you've found the item you like you can add it to your 'Watch List' this is to keep an eye on it so you can keep your bid the highest. Another option is adding the item to your 'Wish List' which can be made public and allows friends or family to buy the items in that list for a surprise for example a nice birthday present.
You can search the items and sort by ending soonest allowing you to see if there are any bargains that you can snap up before the bidding time runs out. Bidding is simple it states the current bid in bold so you know how much its going for at that time and it has what the next bid will need to be to beat the current bid which makes it straightforward to get the item to be your own.
Im a huge fan of the website and will always search on there first if im looking for something as there are some real bargains to be found on ebay. Id recommend waiting for insertion fee free weekends if you are planning on selling alot of items and if your planning on buying afew try to see if the same seller has the items your looking for to cut down on delivery costs as some offer multi buy discount on delivery.
Summary: Great website which sells almost everything so you can get your shopping in one place
