Advantages: great prices, huge selection, can buy items you cant find elsewhere
Disadvantages: addictive, can be an unsafe way to buy things, to easy to spend more than you can afford
EBAY! well I started going on ebay when a friend recommended it as a great auction site to me. I went on there and never realised just how many different things you could bid for, they do everything.
The buzz I got was amazing when I placed my first bid and then recieved an email to confirm that I had successfully placed the highest bid and that the item in question was mine.
Well after that I went on ebay every day, scanning through the endless lists of things to sell. I started placing bids on many items, even to the point that when I won the bids I couldnt remember the items in question, thats how bad I got!.
I ended up spending far more than really I could afford but it was just so easy and exciting, its so hard not to get carried away in the thrill of it all. I spent on average around 6 hours a day every day on ebay. Put it this way my husband was not amused.
A quick run down on some of the things I bought was pc games, playstation games, fine works of art, compact discs, dvds, antique candlesticks and plates, as well as collectable wade figures, baby dresses well the list just goes on and on.its probably easier to say what didnt I buy.
You have to watch out as all the sellers may not be as honest as you would think. I nearly had a problem as I bought an item and just before I was about to send off payment, I recieved an email from a person warning me of this seller, that they had sent payment along with others but had never recieved goods.
well I contacted ebay and told them I was retracting my bid, which ebay said that was fine. I then contacted that seller and said I wanted the goods before I sent payment out. The result was that I never heard nothing back, hmmmmmmmmm makes you wonder if that seller even had the goods to sell in the first place.
Well all in all ebay is great and you can get some good bargains if you just bear in mind its very addictive, try not to spend more than you can afford and watch out for th
ose few dishonourable sellers.

- 03/10/01 Sorry about the low rating. To improve it take a little more time over your opinions. This was typed in a hurry, there are no capital letters or paragraph spaces. To get rich quick on Dooyoo (whhich almost no one does) the better the opinion the more reads and the more reads the richer you are. Churning out fast opinions won't usually get you many points.
