Wahey! This the best site I have seen since I first came across Dooyoo! It is brilliant. Have you been on e-bay yet? It has to be the best online auction site ever. I have checked out a few others, but, e-bay seems to be the best. The whole set up is excellent, and the choice!

Firstly, when you get on the site, it's best to register with a unique id. I found this difficult at first, as every name I put in, including my dooyoo name, came up as used! After 6 tries, I settled on a name, and I was in. I got a confirmation e-mail within 10 mins, and off I went to browse. What's this? Cars from £10? And no reserve price? Cd's from 50p? A brand new guitar, starting price £1? Am I dreaming? NO!

Without noticing, however, I was getting hooked! I spent an in-ordinate amount of time searching for things that interest me, CD's, videos, guitars, collectibles, etc, and just couldn't help myself. I placed bids on several items, before I new what was happening!

Having said that, I do hope I win the auction on these items. For first time buyers and sellers, there is all the instructions you need on the site. How to bid is quite easy. Select the item and see what the going price is, put in your bid. You can add a proxy bid, which allows you to fix a limit. Then e-bay automatically increases the your bid, in your absence, up to your limit. This way you don't have to be watching each bid that is made.

If someone outbids you, you'll get an e-mail that invites you to bid higher. If you want to ask the seller about the item you're interested in, you can send him a message, asking for details.
Selling on e-bay is a little different. You can add pictures of your item, and set a reserve price. You can specify how you want to be paid, and what postage charges to apply.

For those buyers who are a bit nervous of paying for something before recieving it, you can check on the rating of the seller to see how he co
nducts his business on e-bay, and whether he has previously satisfied customers.

The selling fees are very low and differ depending on the final purchase price of your goods. But, it is free to browse and buy.

Overall, what a site! But, I can see how anyone can get addicted to it. If not careful, you'll end up with tons of stuff you didn't know you wanted. Be careful, take your time, and you may end up with some great bargains.
