Advantages: Quick paying

Disadvantages: Cannot contact the buyer yourself

I first learned about Ebay from my aunt who is a pencil addict! She has bought numerous pencils online. Then I read a magazine article about a women who sold her entire wardrobe, mostly online. She gained over £2000 online from few garments. I have had this watch that I dislike and have hardly worn. So I decided to sell it on Ebay. Orginally I read no introduction notes for new users although they are there and I still found it very easy. I started my bidding for my watch at £90 and it sold for £230. I never thought it would get that far! Ebay is quick and efficient, taking a very small comission. For expensive items it is 5% but never higher than this. If you set up online purchasing then another small comission is taken. However it makes the item sell quicker. The first photo is free and you can add more pictures for 10p each. You can also add your item to the gallery and enlarge the print of your text so customers see it first. You can also let your customer pay postage and packaging and ship to whereever you want by excluding some countries. If you have had no bids you can also update your description and there is a chance for bidders to contact you with questions. It costs as little as 15p to list your item and then the extras you have chosen are added on top of this. Yet there is very high security on the site. It cost me only £2.95 to list my item and relisting is possible if an item does not sell. Once bidding has ended Ebay gives you clear instructions of what to do next and if the highest bidder does not pay it goes to the next bidder. Also if your item does not recieve payment at all due to no fault of your own as the highest bidder did not send money then you can send a claim to Ebay. I highly recommend this website.

I've used this site for about 2 years now, and always found it excellent too.
