Advantages: Great for getting a bargain, Make a bit of spare cash on items you don't use
Disadvantages: N/A
After discovering ebay of a link my life has never been the same!!! I only started visiting the site in December and already I am completely hooked. Within ebay?s auctions you can find absolutely everything to suit every budget. When visiting ebay for the first time you have to register a username and password. To do this you need to give them your credit card details. Please note this is just for security purposes and your credit card will not be used to pay for any of the items you win. The way it works is, that once a bid is complete it is up to the buyer and seller to contact each other within 3 days (by email) and then payment is arranged with each other. It is up to each individual seller to decide what methods of payment they accept and how much you will pay for postage and packaging. So make sure you read carefully before placing your bid. The other thing to check before bidding is feedback the seller has been given. Every time you make a transaction with someone (whether as seller or buyer) you leave a short note about how quickly they paid for the good/sent the item etc. It is handy to check a seller?s previous feedback, as you will gain an idea of how reliable that person is. I have a friend who bought a pair of trousers (said to be new) and received them with a hole and bleach mark on them. Let me say she now always checks the feedback first. Don?t let this put you off, as I have bid on many items and have been delighted with them all. If you are interested in selling items on ebay it can be lots of fun. I have sold a few things such as DVD?s and clothes that I have bought and never got round to wearing ? a familiar scenario I am sure. You can make your item page as exciting as you want. Ebay allow you to have one free picture with every item (that?s all you need really) and they charge you for any additional pictures. It?s not a lot, something like 50p for 5 photos. So whether your interested
in making a bit of money on that top you bought in the sale and never got round to wearing or simply want to shop until you drop this is the site for you. What are you waiting for?
