Advantages: easy to use insurance feedback system biggest internet auction site on the web
Disadvantages: have to pay to sell
Ebay is a cool internet auction site. It's very simple and easy to browse, buy and sell. You can pick auctions via menu sections or you can do simple searches for all your favourite items - in this country, in the currency of your choice and for items available for this country. Ebay has great layouts and its easy to register and sell and buy auction items. It costs £0.40 to place items and takes a 5% commission charge on the successful sell of your auction items. It has a good feedback system, which is usefull when buying and selling. You and other people can check out the reliability beforehand. It's also advisable if you are using the auction site for the first time to only go for auction items from people with high ratings and auctions which have photos or pictures of what you are buying. Sometimes people tend to be a bit economical with the truth, especially when it comes down to the condition of the item for sale. Ebay offers insurance on all items sold, so if something does go wrong you know you have a bit of security. Overall its a good internet auction site, although there are other auction sites which cost nothing to sell an items.
