Advantages: You can buy or sell anything, free customer support 24/7, well organised website, millions of buyers

Disadvantages: The security is a bit unsure but eBay is working on improvements

eBay is the worlds largest online market. 180.000.000 people have registered on eBay until now and the numbers rise. On this huge market you can buy or sell anything from a wooden stick to a company. There will allways be people who sell and will allways be people who buy, this is what eBay stands on and it does a goo job.
Now, about the fraud, the human mind is very ingenious:
1) The buyer can receive the product but deny it
2) The seller can say that he has sent the product while not doing it
3) Last second biding. Place a bid in the last seconds of an auction, not leaving time for a counter bid. Unfortunately, eBay agrees to this
Anti fraud:
The best antifraud sistem on eBay is the feedback. If a buyers/seller has a negative feedback he might as well quit.
Feedback is posted after each transaction. The buyer writes feedback on the seller and vice-versa.
BUT a new user of ebay, with no feedback can fool one or two sellers/buyers until it gets negative feedback.
Overall:
eBay is the biggest online market, worth of trust allthough there are a few minor problems.

Summary: eBay, a great way to sell or buy anything online via Paypall or credit cards.

Last second bids are not considered to be fraud....as eBay accepts them. But many other online markets do not accept them. So, if you place a last second bid, another bidder can request a 2 minute time to place his counter bid. I think this is somewhat fair. But...every company has it's policies

Last Second Bidding isn't fraud though, is it? It's called using your loaf, I've picked up some great bargains using this method although I've had it happen to me when I'm bidding on something and it's definitely irritating!
