Loads of new and used items on Ebay

Advantages: Big assortment, collectors stuff, not too expensive most of the times
Disadvantages: Every seller has itīs own standards to whatīs usefull item information
*Ebay information* Ebay is an online auction site that offers you the possibility to either buy or sell new and used goods. Ebay has websites all over the world, I mostly visit www.ebay.co.uk because the Dutch site isn't that interesting and hasn't got that many good offers. Ebay offers a very big assortment, you can buy your brand clothers like Leviīs there, but also childrensfurniture, glasses, books, dvdīs and even food.
Selling through Ebay means youīll loose some profit to them, but if you get high rates you van be pretty succesfull on Ebay as a seller, of course if you sell unique products, that works for you too.
I never sell anything through Ebay, but I do buy stuff quite often. Since I managed to get myself a Paypal account without adding a creditcard but working with Echecks, I am visiting the UK site of Ebay daily to check on new fabrics. I like to make clothes and bedlinen and always am browsing for the most unique fabric available. I find it a major advantage that Ebay gives me the possibility to shop worldwide.
Opening a buyers account ainīt too difficult, just think of a username and agree with the Ebay terms. Be aware that the system is pretty strict when it comes to non/payers. If you donīt pay the item youīve won you will be deleted from the Ebay database pretty quickly!
There are several ways to buy articles on Ebay, you can place a bid, but you can also `buy know` which means you own the article immediatly. Make sure you confirm your bidding and check shipment costs especially if you donīt live in the country that sells the item. Small packages arenīt too expensive for me to ship to Holland. I pay between 2 to 4 pounds of course depending on weight, but fabric isnīt too heavy. Sometimes I buy an English book for my husband, and Iīll pay around 2,50 pounds to ship that.
If you enter the word of the item youīre looking for in the search area on the Ebay startpage, youīll see all the items that match that search and on the left side, you can see the catagories they-it is in. It is also possible to arrange your searchresults from low to high prices, or from new to old offers. Filtering out the °buy it now° items is a possibility as well. Once you click on the wanted item, the item shows and information is given. Some sellers give a lot of detailled information, some donīt. You always have the possibility to ask them a question before bidding.
Payment as I said earlier, can be made through Paypal fairly easy. Within 5 days the Echeck clears with the seller and I always receive updates on my items status through email. Thatīs nice because I now know that the fabric I ordered 3 days ago has been shipped yesterday and will probably arrive her in Holland at the beginning of next week.
Giving feedback to sellers and receiving it back from buyers is essential for Ebay to keep out the conmen that unfortunately try to scam people from time to time as well. I always leave feedback and if your not happy with the product of have anything else to ask the seller, it is smart to email him-her before you give feedback. Most of the times you can come to some sort of solution with your seller.
Overall, Ebay is a great site to find yourself some unique articles or collectors items but it is also nice to get some cheap vintage clothes for yourself or your kids. I have only had one unsolved problem with a buyer but thatīs all and Iīve been Ebaying International since 4 years. Payments can be made through banking transfer or with Paypal. Just visit an experience this site for yourself!
Summary: Looking for a present, new clothes, fabrics or anything else, EBAY is the site to visit
