Like everything Ebay.com has its good and bad parts. I have been using it for several years now and have had a range of good and bad experiences.

Firstly, what is Ebay? Ebay is a great website which is free to sign up to and allows anyone from across the world and sell their unwanted items or buy others items. There are two main ways to buy or sell; you can either bid against others for an item, or it may be listed as 'buy it now' meaning you can purchase the item straight away and it will be sent out to you.

What i love about this about this site is that it is very easy to use. You can very easily set up an account and start buying and selling within a few minutes (although you will also need to create a paypal account if you do not already have one). To list an item you just click on the 'sell an item' link, type in the items detail, add a picture, then add a starting price and postage costs. Thats it!

For buyers, ebay is a great way to pick up a bargain. I have bought numerous items, some of which were even brand new, for a fantastic price simply because the person wanted to get rid of the item.

However, there are a few problems. Some sellers can be very slow at sending items and sometimes list them differently to how they actually are. There have also been many cases of people selling fake items - so be careful!
