i joined e bid after hearing it had improved interms of worthwhileness for sellers.
as an experienced ebay seller i thought i would give it ago.
Joining was easy but the free listings dont include a photo and as we all know items dont sell without a picture.
Also they sting you by charger for automatic relisting, this is stated in very small print so you dont noticed until you get the charge.
They also take 3% of the sale. Now despite all this that is still a lot cheaper than ebay however the costs are balanced out by the fact you are more likely to sell on ebay as it is the market leader at present.
However on the plus side you can list an item and it doesnt cost until it sells meaning taking a punt on something doesnt cost you.
The invoice sending and process of dispatching feedback etc is not as clear as ebay but ok once you have figured it out.
Ebid does use paypal but not primarily so you end up setitng up all kinds of new payment accounts making things a little more complicated I now use what seems like 20 different payment companies. If you dont want too many pppay, paypal and googlecheckout are the three most used.

Now in terms of selling, well it states you can transfer from ebay but in reality this doesn work very well.
also they seem to block your account without warning and without telling you why expecting you to email them saying what you did wrong. now i havent done anything on their list and have emailed them to ask what was going on only to find no response.

Im torn with this site.
It has pros and cons but im not sure which way to lend myself yet.
cheaper yes. more awkard yes, and not very good seller customer service.
