Premium Review ebid.co.uk: eBid - buyers needed. (285 words)

ebid is an online auction site in a similar vein to eBay where you can both buy and sell items of all varieties. I've been a keen user of eBay recently and was turned onto eBid by another review on this site saying that it was a great alternative, if not better than eBay. Unfortunately, I have not found this to be so. If buying, I think ...  Read the complete review

I joined the USA side on us.ebid.net on February 1st 2008 and opted for the seller+ lifetime membership of $49.99. I've not looked back since. It started out slow for me but over time I've been getting more and more sales each month plus I purchase quite a bit on there too.

With lifetime membership you get 5 FREE stores - 5 FREE pics per listing - unlimited listings - free to list (or 2% Final Value Fee for gallery auction) - extra options for a minimal fee - unlimited payment options - varied selection of shipping choices - brilliant editable feedback system both ways - friendly & helpful forums - excellent customer service.

And best of all, whether your a seller or buyer, you get 1(one) ebid member ID which helps keep scammers off the site.

You have nothing to lose.

eBid.net is fast becoming the venue for collectors and sellers of collectibles and used items. While eBay becomes a 'shopping mall' for new items, eBid is picking up the smaller sellers and individual sellers and the collectors that follow them. There are new items too, but not endless listings of the same item.
The search engine works the way you want it to - you can easily find any item and narrow your search - without annoying items that don't match getting thrown into the mix. And no silly 'best match' marketing forced down your throat.

I started using Ebid recently as i got fed up with the charges that Ebay decide to charge you. The money to pay out was starting to creep up, and so i chose to register with Ebid instead. I found Ebid through searching on the internet for other auction sites and after looking at the reviews for Ebid, decided to join. I paid the one off ...  Read the complete review

Ebid is NOT ebay in disguise...... It is devoloping rapidly. I started selling there on March last year and sales, although not as many as on ebay , are increasing. Not world wide yet but again it is expanding and now covers North America, Austraia & NZ. Parts of the far east, & Europe For £50.00 I bought a life membership, ...  Read the complete review

eBID has grown so much in the last few months with more and more people unwilling to pay sky high fees elsewhere that it is no longer a small site but a strong contender to other sites. Now being No 2 in size. With no listing fees and no selling fees unless you want to add pics(only 2% of final selling price)it is the place to be.Also it is a very friendly place with members always willing to help. Admin reply is from real people.Give it a go.

Ebid.net the best auction site around
I had to leave ebay as I could not afford the fees anymore.

I found ebid and it is the best think to happen to me in the online world.
As a seller plus I paid just £49.99 lifetime membership, and made that back within the first few days.
I have over 2,000 listings and my monthly bll is a couple of £ if that.
I have feedback of near on 800 since June,I do buy as well as sell.
I was recently gifted $2,500 by ebid for being the lister of the two millionth auction, what a bonus that was and they have more coming with a prize of $3,000 for the three millionth auction lister.
So come on down to ebid.
Have some patience as it takes time but will be worth it in the long run I can assure you.

When I sold through ebay, every month brought confusing new changes that seemed designed to force me off of the site. Despite my PowerSeller status, I just could not compete with the huge mega-stores on ebay. Fees to ebay and PayPal ate up 30% of the monies recieved for any transaction. Ultimately they decided how I could accept payment and ...  Read the complete review

Hello--I just started using Ebid.net. Over the years Ebay has completely irritated me with new rules, new changes, fees for listing, fees for selling, fees for Paypal, fees for this and that and all of a sudden their bill is really cutting into my wallet to the point where it is not worth the trouble. The other day I sold my grandfather's gold ...  Read the complete review

This website beats ebay! It has CUSTOMER SERVICE for a start. Let's get ebay out of the way first. Ebid has been a largely undiscovered treasure due to ebay's monopoly on online auctions. It is constantly making changes to its site and making it more and more awkward for people to trade there. Buyers and sellers ...  Read the complete review

I joined eBid at the end of February 2008, it took me a week or two going through the forums, andI must say that the help I got was excellent, so different to the darkside, However I signed up to the seller + lifetime at a very reasonable £49.99 and I have to say it was the best move I ever made. It was slow at first, but now I am averaging 2 sales a day and have over 650 listings over 5 stores and my average fees are around £1.40 a month, At last I can sell in a stress free environment making a decent profit without paying all my profit in unrealistic fees and I also have the option of using various payment options which are cheaper than paypal, and without being told what to use, I am now allowed to run my auctions as I want.

I've been selling and buying on Ebid for years now and am really surprised that it has not taken off as much as it should considering the many advantages of selling and buying on the site.
