Goricardo looks a nice site, but where it lacks is that there are very few products for sale, and what is for sale attracts very few bidders. The auction site itself is easy to use and has some nice features, but this does not compensate for the lack of products to bid on. I have only placed one winning bid which was frought with problems to the extent that I never received the item. I won an auction for a walkman at £23 including shipping. I joined Goricardo last year and found this to be a better auction site than QXL. The trouble with QXL I found was that it takes forever to list an item. Goricardo was very fast. Now though Goricardo has teamed up with QXL and the site is no longer taking any new customers which is a shame. QXL has probably hired the Goricardo team to beef its site up. There is an informtion page for customers who wish to join up with QXL. Of all the auctions sites that I'm registerd with Goricardo is my least favorite. I have listed load's of item's for auction and very rarely make good money on them. As for buying it's ok but not great you can pick up the odd bargin but that is rare especially regarding DVD's and computer games. At best the site is average and I very rarely use it anymore, give it go for yourself but its not one that I would recommend to friend's. I use a couple of online auctions on a regular basis, and this is one of the worst ones. I hardly get any bids at all. I first found out about this auction from an advert on the Television about 3 months ago, but I haven't seen any adverts anywhere since. Do people not know about this auction??? - Is this why sellers don't receive many bids? The actual layout and format of the site is very good, but without buyers it isn't really a lot of use to us sellers.
