I have used the Loots new Music mates service, I found it very good, I am in a female Hip Hop troop, and was looking for other girls to increase our numbers. So I placed an advert on a free number, although I didn't speak to someone, the questions they ask on the line are very clear and it is easy to use. Within a week my advert was on display, and after a couple of days I had 20 replies! I didn't have to call a premium rate phone line to find this out, I was sent a free text message when someone left me a message in my reply box, so I didn't waste money calling in, unless there was something worth listening to. Ok it cost me a about £8 in total to retrieve all my ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Very bad idea (250 words)

The new musicmates service that's replacing the old musicians' noticeboard is a very bad idea. For many years musicians from beginners to seasoned professionals have been using the noticeboard to find band members or to find work. It was (generally) free, though it was understood that if you were a professional and looking for paid work, you had to pay to advertise. Fair enough. But now it's being replaced by musicmates. There are several disadvantages: You have to dictate your ad over the 'phone to a recorder, not a person. However careful you are with your enunciation, they can and do get it wrong. Also, to access replies to your ad, you have to dial a premium ...  Read the complete review

This is a Uk based website which is about people buying and selling their goods online. I have bought stuff and also sold stuff on here over the years and think its great. The site is free to join and both selling and buying is free too. However you can pay money which ill explain in a minute. Joining couldnt be easier. Takes just two minutes to join and its just the usual details name, age address etc to fill in. Once done its ready for you to buy or sell. To sell you simply choose your item and put a description and thats it. Youe item is displayed online for 10 days but the public only get to see it for 3 days unless you have paid. If someone ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review More cash for your junk... (660 words)

Isn’t the Internet great? Not only does it allow squillions (yes, I know that’s not a proper word – but I like it) of people to come together to talk and share information, experiences, and opinions – but it also allows those people to sell their unwanted junk, ahem, I mean “quality goods” to each other. There are many trading mechanisms available online now. The most popular form of online trading comes in the form of online auctions such as eBay – where for a modest fee you can reach potentially millions of people who are looking to buy that very item that you are desperate to get rid of. The problem is that some items ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review loot.com: Making money (491 words)

When we lived in London we used Loot to sell unwanted items. We managed to sell all sorts of things, from cars to computers. Everything we had for sale sold within a matter of weeks. It was very convenient and FREE. We moved away from London 4 years ago, and thought that it would be the end of this! Fortunately we discovered Loot.com, which is the on-line version. So how does this work? In order to advertise on Loot, you need to register. This is free and simple, and similar to many of the other on-line registration forms. Your e-mail address is your username, and you are given a password. Of course, if you only want to browse advertisements, you ...  Read the complete review
