I have recently discovered Preloved, the easy version of ebay.
When you first go onto the site, sign yourself up for a free membership. You can post adverts with pictures for free! There are thousands of other members who will view your items and they can write you a personal message if they want more information or wish to purchase.
You can either meet up with people to sell your goods or send them in the post if they are small enough. I recently sold some Swarovski items to a collector which was fantastic as I dont think I would have found that person any other way. They came all the way from up north to london to buy my things and it worked out really well.
You must be careful about personal safety, make sure you never post anything until you have received the money for it. Dont get involved with anything to do with western union transfers. You can usually tell when someone is messing you around or a hoax.
The site is very easy to navigate, and I find it way easier to use than ebay. There is no bidding, you just set your price or state that your willing to take an offer and then sit back and wait. You can upload 3 pictures for free and I think that ads that have pictures probably get more responses.
I havent had to talk to the sites moderators for anything but they posted my ads on the site swiftly and without fuss. One thing that would be a good addition would be a counter to see how many people have viewed your item.
If you have a load of old junk lying around then post it up, one persons trash is anothers treasure! You can literally list anything from jewellery to caravans to bric a brac. Im hoping to bag myself a few bargins on there myself!
Summary: So easy to try, give it a go
