Having read a few negative opinions, I feel that I must stick up for QXL.

I have probably bought around 5-6 things from them over the past few years, and have generally found them to be good value (although as this is an auction site, you have to be careful to only bid what you can afford). All items that I purchased from them arrived in good time and in good condition.

By far the best area, though, is their returns policy - I have had to return a couple of items (not QXL's fault), and they provide you with full instructions on what to send, and even send you documentation which allows you to contact their courier company directly and arrange a collection time, with QXL paying for carraige. The refund on my credit card generally comes through within 2 weeks. But note - this returns policy is only in place with items called QXL direct (i.e. QXL is selling the items), for private auctions the same risks apply as to all auction sites.
