There are three Tradecycle Groups in the UK, which are Oxfordtradecycle, Swindontradecycle and Gloucestershiretradecycle. These groups are quite new, Oxfordtradecycle was set up on 5 May 2008 and now has 194 members and over 11 items have been sold. Swindontradecycle has 58 members and was set up on 21 September 2008 and so for 1 item has been sold. Gloucestershiretradecycle was also set up on 21 September, has 20 members. Tradecycle is based on Freecycle but the difference is that people can buy, sell, exchange or ask for items that would be too good to give away for free, in the local county. The main purpose is to keep more unwanted expensive items out of the land fill.
